Small Sportlots Mailday

I have a love/hate relationship with Sportlots, I love the huge amount of random commons usually listed at 18 cents a piece. I hate trying to find multiple cards from the same seller to fill out an order. The above Arturs Irbe led to a search that lasted over an hour and netted me a total of four cards. I am trying to keep my hockey card budget very small, but when I saw Irbe skating out of the giant sharks mouth with his second hand store looking goalie equipment, I knew it was a card I wanted to add.

Switching to football, this one has been at the top of my list for a long time, the only card I know of that shows Peete as a Redskin from 1999 Upper Deck Retro, seeing as he only played 3 games with Washington, it's surprising there is even one.

Another Sharks goalie, my first Miikka Kiprusoff with San Jose. The Sharks were always my second team after the Bruins so this fits into my Sharks goalies collection with the Irbe.

Shipping costs went way up after 4 cards, so this was the one that finished off the order, luckily I didn't have to go to far alphabetically on my wantlist of zero-year Rockies prospects to find Ivan Arteaga.

  1. I go through the same thing with Sportlots. Multiple tabs open to try and work around multiple sellers to get max cards and limit the shipping costs. It's almost a game.
