My Top Acquisitions of 2014

With the end of a year, there are always two things, a chance to look back at the year that was, and lists. Here is a combination of these two things with my top acquisitions of 2014. These are in a sort of order ending with my most favorite, but I decided not to number them as my order would change if I tried to to this again.

2013 Topps Museum Collection Framed Museum Collection Autographs Gold Wilin Rosario - My feels toward Rosario as a baseball player have soured, and he will most likely not be with Colorado when 2015 opens, but there Topps does that is as nice as the Museum Collection metal framed autographs. Scans in now way do these cards justice, they are just amazing.

1971 OPC Bobby Orr - How can you go wrong with vintage of Saint Robert. I wrote a pretty lengthy post about picking this card up, so I will just link it and save some typing.

Jon Gray Black Bowman Collection - We have a tie here, the top is the First Jonathan Gray I got, a redemption from 2013 Bowman Draft, and the top one being from 2014 Bowman Inception. Gray is the Rockies top prospect after being the 3rd overall pick in the 2013 Draft, his prices have dropped a little after a pretty "meh" 2014, so I probably overpaid for the top one, but if he lives up to his hype these will be nice cards to have around.

2011 Gypsy Queen Kila Ka'Aihue - A card that took way to long to find, I was the last card I needed from 2011 GQ for a few months, and I was pretty pumped when one showed up to finish off the set.

2011 Gypsy Queen Mini Photo Variant Troy Tulowitzki - These mini photo variations have become pretty hard to find. 2011 is still my favorite year for Gypsy Queen so this was a nice addition.

2014 Gypsy Queen Dual Button Prince Fielder / Miguel Cabrera - By far the most valuable card I have ever pulled. I have no connection to either player or team, so the card is no longer a part of my collection, but I will take another opportunity to show it off again.

2013 Panini America's Pastime Hitters Ink Booklets Ellis Burks / Dante Bichette - This is a card I completely forgot to post about. Even though I shy away from the Panini stuff, this is the only certified auto of the elder Dante Bichette and a nice addition to a Blake Street Bombers collection.

2013 Topps Ramon Hernandez Printing Plate Black - A new addition to my only rainbow, I have pretty much given up on one of these plates turning up, so when it showed up in my saved searches, I wasn't gonna let it get away.
