Everyone once in while I remember a set, or team set, that I really need to finish, 2009 O-Pee-Chee black border fit in that category. I am always a sucker for black borders and somehow the powder blue works well with the Rockies purple.
Bowman Platinum purple parallels are also high on that list, the 2016s seem a little harder to come by, so getting one in a trade is nice.
More black borders with some 2013 Update in the 1971 style, I was pretty suprised I didn't have the cargo until now.
More Update, this time from 2016 checkinh Chad Qualls of my wantlist with a photo from Jackie Robinson day, rookie catcher Tony Wolters and All-Star knuckleballer Steven Wright.
Some 1996 SP set help, I absolutely love the design of this set.
Metal Universe was a bizarre set, and this Mark Gardner is right up there for weirdness, 1997 was a long time ago, but I do not remember him have two robot arms, that would probably be against the rules anyway.
Mark Thompson for the Pitchers doing things other than pitcher collection and the recently retired lefty specialist Javier Lopez.
If only Mark Prior could have gotten that experimental, dual robot arm surgery...
ReplyDeleteAlso, I too have always had a thing for black border cards; I can't quite put my finger on why, but they just look fancier or sleeker or something.
