005 - 2011 Certified - Tom Brady
The classic Patriot Pat throwbacks looking good on a cool
red foil-y card
006 - 2017 Upper Deck CFL - Jovan Olafioye
The Alouettes came out with these in 2014 and wore them
through 2017 (with a different helmet in 2018). The two tone helmet, the grey
on grey and the weird wings on the shoulders and pants are a very weird look, forever documented on this card.
007 - 2001 UD MVP - Pat Tillman
No explication needed, if you don't know his story it's
worth looking up.
058 - 2016 National Treasures - Jarvis Landry
I wanted to stay away from thick, high end cards, but I believe this is the only cardboard evidence of the Dolphins
orange-on-orange color rush.
All Blue/Teal Color Rush.
093 - 2010 Topps Unrivaled - Dwayne Bowe
Throwback to the 1960-1962 Dallas Texas for the AFL's 50th
Anniversary season in 2009.
105 - Collector's Edge Masters - Kerry Collins
After his very weird exit from Carolina, Collins played in 7
games with Saints to finish the 1998 season before going to the Giants in 1999.
124 - 2009 Jogo CFL - Randy Chevrier
Grey Cup celebrations are an easy add. Chevrier also had a
pretty interesting career, from being drafted out of the Canadian College
system by the Jaguars, to playing Long Snapper, Defensive and Offensive Line
and winning 3 Grey Cups.
127 - 2004 Bowman - Sean Taylor
Photo from the 2004 Hall of Fame Game, Sean Taylor’s
pro debut, when he had two interceptions, including a pick six.
130 - 2010 Gridiron Gear - John Carlson
My favorite of the modern Seahawks jerseys, only worn in
2009.
142 - 2005 UD Reflections - Jesse Lumsden
Looking like a star in the making coming out of Canadian
College, spent time with the Seahawks and Redskins but never made a regular season roaster. He then struggled with injuries
in the CFL and went on to be a bobsledder in the 2010, 2014 & 2018 Winter Olympics.
160 - 2018 Panini - Philip Rivers
Rivers rocking the San Diego Color Rush on one of my
favorite recent designs, 2018 Panini.
170 - 2014 Prizm - Ace Sanders
Great shot of the Jags weird two tone helmet on a shiny
card, also bonus points for being named "Ace". (Actually it is Tracy)
212 - 2004 Bowman - Wes Welker
So close to a zero year, Welker played one game with the
Chargers after signing as an un-drafted free agent, then went on to catch 903
passes including 123 in 2009, make 5 Pro Bowls and was a 4x All Pro.
Love the Tillman! He's definitely a hometown hero where I live.
