Sportlots

A quick little Sportlots mail-day that is severely lacking a witty title. As with most Sportlots orders there was one card I really wanted, then the rest just filled it out to make shipping worthwhile. The main card was the above Tim Cheveldae, a good Saskatchewan boy and former Saskatoon Blade, I didn't remember him being with the Bruins, probably because he only played two games for them. I know nothing about this release other than it has a playing card back and I assume it's the hockey version of the Showdown MLB and NFL releases.

A new Cam Neely also came along for the ride, a Full Contact insert from Pinnacle, some dufex, but not the best Pinnacle offering from that era.

Three new Sean Taylor cards, also nice to add new Taylors for 18 cents.

and three of five 2012 Prestige I picked up, including my first Tim Tebow card and a rookie card of current Redskins Zach Brown.

  1. Oh man. I ripped open a lot of Playoff One on One hockey in search of the "ultra rare" cards. There were four levels: common, uncommon, rare, and ultra rare. Your Cheveldae was a rare (silver background) from the 2nd series of this product. Cool card.
