Collecting has really fallen to the back-burner due to a number of things, post-xmas recovery, a serious cold streak and other family dealings, so that is why it took until February to have an actual trade post. Starting off with two former Rockies from 2017 Stadium Club, the Lucroy is just a beautiful shot while the Pomeranz is an addition to the "why do I still collect this guy" PC.
Baseball card blog focusing on 1971 Topps, cards of catchers and the Colorado Rockies, sometimes drifting of into other areas or sports.

My First "Too Many" Trade
A long overdue post with a trade from Too Many Manningham/Verlanders, he already posted his side here and here and I am finally getting around to posted what came my way. The coolest card is above, a Topps Stars 'n Steel of Dante Bichette, I have never seen these before, really cool card printed on metal stock.

A Gintery Zistle Trade
For the most part, I don't like Allen & Ginter's, but I won't get into that here, because my most recent trade is heavy on the Ginter. Sometimes I question what I collect, usually when looking for Trenidad Hubbard or Jayhawk Owens cards, but these guys were at least Rockies, members of the 1995 playoff team, and players that have some nostalgia factor from my youth. But Chef cards, that's just weird. Two new additions to that collection with Anthony Bourdain and Daniel Boulud, you probably either know who they are, or don't care, so I will move on.

2015 Topps - Just 5 Packs
I usually head to the LCS for supplies and end up with a few random packs, but this time packs were Topps (get it) on the list. People are probably bored of base cards so I will lead off with the hit, an Ian Kinsler Career High Relic, listed at 1:49 packs, I was pretty luck to pull this out of one of five.

Trade from Japan
A recent trade scoring me some Japanese Sega Card-Gen Rockies from This Card is Cool. (his side here). Starting off with some 2013's. A new one for the Pomeranz collection, a guy that looks to be resurrecting his career in Oakland. One of the things I like about Card-Gen is the large set size giving you cards of relievers like Belisle and Betancourt.

GQ From COMC: 2012 Completed
The biggest part of a recent COMC order, over half of the 48 card order was Gypsy Queen, and a large part of that was finishing the photo variants from 2012 (not including the Yu Darvish card). There was also some 2011 & 2013 short prints as I slowly chip away at those sets.
I managed to gather a couple nice Rockies cards as well, the 2013 Tulo short print, a 2011 Printing Plate of Jorge de la Rosa, relics of Jordan Pacheco and Carlos Gonzalez, a 2013 Black Mini Cargo, the last 2 Drew Pomeranz mini's I needed for the rainbow and a mini autograph, numbered to 10, of Wilin Rosario.
Full Trade and Want lists below if anyone is intrested in trading

Group Break Loot
I haven't had much luck with group breaks and this one wasn't the lucky winner, a bunch of base and 2 Drew Pomeranz "Chasing the Dream" inserts was all 2 Jumbo Hobby boxes got me. While the boxes of Topps were not kind, Cardboard Collections was, adding a large pile of Rockies to the package. Some nice parallels including an Emerald Pomeranz Bowman Platinum that was at the top of my mental wantlist, an new card for the Iannetta collection and what could be better than a purple bordered Rockies card. The rest of the box was full of Stadium club Rockies, most of which I did not have. Thanks for the break and the extra cards!Friday, 11 January 2013
COMC Black Friday Order Part III: Rockies
On to the Rockies portion of the COMC order, leading it off with a 2008 Finest Jeff Francis, so far this is one of two Rockies card I have found to show the World Series patch on the jersey making this photo from Game 1 of the 2007 World Series. More cards for the recently traded Alex White collection, I expected big things from him as a Rockie no such luck there as he was just traded to the Astros. I usually don't collection jersey cards, but I needed a Pomeranz, the Nolan Arenado was more for the auto and the Iannetta was more for the fu manchu. Finished up with a Charlie Hayes card with his football style mask, a Scott Elarton for "One of every Rockie", a Pomeranz Platinum National promo numbered to 499 and a couple Andres Galarraga cards printed on wood.Wednesday, 2 January 2013
COMC Black Friday Order Part II: Minis
The mini portion of my big COMC order, starting with my first Black Mini from 2011 Gypsy Queen, Jorge De La Rosa. A couple Mini's you don't see a lot of, a 2001 PS-206 Private Stock Jeff Cirillo and a 2000 PS-2000 Private Stock Larry Walker. A Black Border Ginter Pomeranz along with 3 different Gypsy Queen Pomeranz Minis. The big highlight for me was a last few cards to finish off the Rockies team set of 2012 GQ Black Minis, by far my favorite cards of 2012.

Mailday: Sportlots Part 2
My final package from Sportlots.com helping to widdle down the wantlist. A sweet Charlie O'Brien featuring his hockey style mask. I wish guys would get a little more imaginative with the artwork on these like they do in hockey. Most of the rest were Rockies including Bubba Carpenter and Garvin Alston from the most wanted list, a silver Topps Total Alfredo Amezaga, a Blue 2012 Pomeranz, a nice catcher card of Joe Girardi and a Zero year card of Tony Eusebio who never played a regular season game for Colorado. Finished up by a couple Redskins from the last Super Bowl years, before Dan Snyder ruined the organization and turned the team into a laughing stock. The Williams is from the oversized Gameday set.

Mailday: 2012 Topps Drew Pomeranz Printing Plate
Just a single card mail day but a few collecting firsts for me, my first 1 of 1 card, my first printing plate, my first 2012 and my first Drew Pomeranz card. One of my collecting goals for 2012 is to load up on Pomeranz cards, and hoping that the fact they are for my personal collection and not as an investment that I won't jinx his career in the process. This is a pretty good start to 2012 and building a Pomeranz PC, its a sharp looking card even though I always thought printing plates would be thicker for some reason.
